To a very small, minor, extent, I agree (though not with Nugent) – on a technicality: The sentiment I offer is reverse discrimination.
What I mean by “reverse discrimination”… or, non-discriminatory discrimination… is that those who were previously oppressed continue to perceive oppression rather than perceiving themselves as unoppressed.
For example: This is, basically, why I see human equality, rather than female/male equality. If I behaved as if I were an oppressed woman, then I would be an oppressed woman, whether or not that was the reality.
Where is the Love? Good question, Tigerlily.
Reality is a matter of perception. Recreate yours.
